ElectraStack - Innovating CO₂ capture from dilute streams
Motivated by the need for carbon capture solutions that can be economically viable at the gigaton scale, RepAir developed ElectraStack, an innovative electrochemical pathway for CO₂ separation.
Unlike conventional systems, ElectraStack operates at ambient temperature with no heat requirement, resulting in ultra-low energy demand and the lowest cost at scale. The system is entirely solid-state, built with abundant and recyclable materials—free from hazardous liquids or solvents—ensuring both safety and sustainability.
At its core, each electrochemical cell consists of a selective membrane and two electrodes. These simple yet robust units are stacked into modules, which are then assembled into larger systems. This straightforward, modular design underpins scalability and mass manufacturability, enabling rapid deployment across industries.
Validated through pilots and on-site trials, RepAir’s technology combines efficiency, safety, and scalability, paving the way for a cost-effective pathway to carbon neutrality across energy and industrial sectors.
