The H2 FINAL FILTER® can make catalyst-killing sulfur compounds undetectable. It was created to clean hydrogen, natural gas, air, helium, nitrogen, fluids such as potable or waste water, water for electrolysis, point of use gas cleansing for laboratory instrumentation such as GC, computer chip cleaning and production, plus many other applications where exceptionally high purity is desired.
Proton Exchange Member (PEM) Fuel Cell Application
Sulfur contamination in the hydrogen poisons the catalyst, leading to decreased performance and premature fuel cell failure. The H2 FINAL FILTER® uses our patented SULFUR MAGNET® media to remove sulfur from hydrogen before it enters the fuel cell, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and long life.
Third-party testing has proven that sulfur contaminations are reduced to below 0.2 ppb. This is important because sulfur is the primary cause of fuel cell failure, with the lowest maximum permitted concentration of 4 ppb of volatile sulfur compounds going into the fuel tank. This is the most stringent of the International Standards. Sulfur reduction is critical as it keeps the catalyst pure, thus prolonging the fuel cell’s life, and providing greater efficiency, reducing the overall cost of use/maintenance, and increasing the ROI.

- No. 1 in capacity worldwide, removing up to 55.4% of its weight in sulfur and no. 1 in tenacity worldwide, reducing Hâ‚‚S to below the limit of detection of 200 ppt
