Your independent engineering and consulting partner for CCUS

We support our clients in all planning phases through to implementation of the project, providing planning for all disciplines and permitting from a single source.
Fichtner assists industrial enterprises, energy suppliers, and public-sector clients in decarbonizing their processes. As a technology-independent partner, we advise on all common CCUS technologies – including amine scrubbing, oxyfuel, membranes, and solid adsorption – and support projects as owner’s engineer from concept to commissioning. We also offer solutions for power-to-X projects, in which CO₂ and hydrogen are processed into climate-neutral products.

Our expertise

Fichtner is one of the leading independent engineering and consulting companies. With over 100 years of experience in the energy industry and more than 50 projects along the CCUS value chain, Fichtner offers comprehensive expertise. Our services cover feasibility studies and carbon capture readiness assessments, the design of CO₂ capture systems for waste-to-energy and combined cycle power plants, and the development of CO₂ transport infrastructure via pipeline, ship, or rail. We support projects involving geological storage and the utilization of CO₂ in power-to-X processes (e.g. e-methanol, eSAF) and advise international clients through technical due diligence and FEED studies. Fichtner also contributes its engineering expertise to research initiatives, such as marine carbon dioxide removal.
