As one of the leading institutes for resource-efficient manufacturing, Fraunhofer IWU focuses on highly flexible, scalable, and cognitive production. Within this context, the Referenzfabrik.H2 department has set itself the goal of becoming a game changer in the industrial-scale production of electrolysers and fuel cells. Industry and research institutions have joined forces as a value-creating community to accelerate the establishment of efficient and scalable manufacturing for these hydrogen technologies. Within Referenzfabrik.H2, several industrial partners contribute their core competencies to the value chain and further develop them through close collaboration with other industry stakeholders. Together with the scientific community, they are able to make faster progress and deliver cost-effective systems ready for large-scale deployment.
