The Fraunhofer Institute for Microengineering and Microsystems IMM is part of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e.V. - the world’s leading industry-oriented research organization. We are engaged in research and development in the three divisions of Chemistry, Energy and Diagnostics.
In the Division ENERGY we deal with current and future issues concerning the mobile and decentralized provision and storage of electrical energy with a stronger focus on sustainable energy sources. We build on the use of our proven microstructured plate heat exchangers, a portfolio of highly active, long-term stable and robust catalysts, and established manufacturing technologies.
Our scientists perform the transfer from the scientific idea towards innovation. Our laboratory and pilot scale system solutions can straightly and consistently be transformed into production scale.
