HyER Power develops PHIAB (Power & Heat in a Box) and EOS (Energy Optimization System). PHIAB is a modular hydrogen-based CHP unit, built around a fuel cell system. The system generates electricity and, through integrated heat recovery, also captures the residual heat produced in the process. Each unit delivers 100 kW of power, and modules can be easily connected in series to scale up capacity. By utilizing residual heat, the PHIAB integrates efficiently with thermal systems such as heat pumps.
In addition, it can connect to both DC solutions like solar PV and the electricity grid. The fully integrated system is controlled by HyER Power’s optimization algorithm EOS, enabling both sustainable energy generation and local grid balancing. PHIAB and EOS can be applied for heat and power generation for buildings, primarily in the utility and industrial domain, and industrial processes.
With its products, HyER Power aims to solve grid congestion by generating renewable heat and power locally and efficiently, hereby reducing the load on the electricity grid. By supplying power to the grid on-demand and integration with other renewable energy sources, HyER Power enables further electrification of heat and power supply. The ultimate goal is to accelerate the transition to renewable heat and power generation.
