Johnny Stuen joined Rely in April 2024, focusing on developing the market and projects for green hydrogen and green PtX in the Nordics. He has been actively working with several large green energy projects across the region to build and enhance the green H₂ and PtX value chain, improving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Prior to Rely, Johnny worked at Technip Energies from March 2022, where he developed energy transition projects within carbon capture, hydrogen, and related technologies. He contributed to the integration of solutions based on Shell Cansolv technology and was involved in developing several CO₂ capture projects across Northern Europe, including modular approaches for onshore industrial emitters and the energy sector. He held previous roles at the Waste Agency of Oslo and he holds a Master’s degree in process technology from the University of South-Eastern Norway. Johnny has led the Norwegian national working group on energy recovery (Avfall Norge), served on the ISWA energy recovery group since 2010, and chaired it from 2017. He was part of the initial team at the Klemetsrud CCS project until 2019 and has been involved with the Norwegian Carbon Capture research program since 2016, serving as a board member until 2022.
