
Martin Aretz

Martin Aretz, born in 1995, studied industrial engineering and with a focus on Automotive Engineering and Transport M.Sc. at RWTH Aachen University. In 2020, he completed his master's degree with a thesis on "Strategies for the economical electrification of the drive train of heavy commercial vehicles with traction battery, pantograph and fuel cell". He then worked as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer IPT in the field of electrolyzer manufacturing and took over as head of the "Integrated Production Machines" group in 2025. The group researches & develops new production technology for the production of fuel cell and electrolyzer stack components, including machine systems specifically for this purpose.
