Salah Mahdy has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector and currently serves as the Global Director of Hydrogen at Chart Industries. His expertise spans critical areas of the energy transition, including gas and liquid hydrogen technologies, water electrolysers, methanol, and ammonia.
Under his leadership, Chart Industries' hydrogen solutions have supported groundbreaking projects, including the world’s first and second green steel plants in Sweden, Europe’s largest green hydrogen project in The Netherlands, the world’s first e-Fuels plant in Chile, and the world’s largest hydrogen refueling station in China.
He has also held senior roles at ITM Power, Worley, AspenTech and Honeywell. Since 2021, he has been elected twice to Chair of the Industry Group at Hydrogen Europe, Europe’s leading hydrogen association, working with more than 600 member companies to advance Hydrogen industry and policy alignment across Europe.
